NANCY GUTTMAN, M.D. -FAMILY PRACTICE
Dr. Nancy Guttman joined the PrimaryPlus organization in March of 2008 as a Family Practice physician, although she has been serving the patients of the Buffalo Trace region for many years prior. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Ohio and completed her residency and internship at the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Family Medicine.
ANNE E. GILLIS, M.D. -FAMILY PRACTICE
Anne E. Gillis, M.D. practices at our PrimaryPlus-Maysville location. Dr. Gillis treats patients of all ages and has over 22 years of experience in Family Medicine. She received her M.D. from Dalhousie University and is a proud member of the Kentucky Medical Association.
TIMOTHY GROSSER, M.D. -FAMILY PRACITICE
Family Practice physician, Timothy T. Grosser, MD, has been practicing medicine since 1979 and has been part of the PrimaryPlus-Maysville family since 2008. Dr. Grosser prides himself in listening to his patients in a laid back atmosphere where they will not feel rushed or uncomfortable. He earned his B.A. from Thomas More College and received his M.D. from the University of Louisville in 1976, where he also completed his Family Practice Residency in 1979. Dr. Grosser is married with two children. He enjoys woodworking, farming and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
BRYAN GROOMS, D.O.- FAMILY PRACTICE
Dr. Grooms joined the PrimaryPlus team of physicians in the fall of 2016. He is very much a hometown boy…growing up just across the river in Manchester, OH. He always knew that one day he wanted to return “home” to serve his community and raise his family and now he gets to live out his dream. Dr. Grooms graduated medical school from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital. Dr. Grooms truly has a great understanding of his patients healthcare needs…making him very relatable to his patients!

RAE JEAN JESSEE, APRN- FAMILY HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER
Rae Jean Jessee, APRN is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2001. She has worked seven years in family medicine and almost five years in endocrinology. She joined PrimaryPlus in May of 2013 serving as a Family Health Nurse Practitioner at our Maysville location. Rae Jean’s well rounded medical background of family health, diabetes, thyroid conditions, etc., provides her patients with a comprehensive, preventative approach to medicine.
Rae Jean resides in Dalesburg, KY, in Fleming County with her husband Tim. Rae Jean is a certified insulin pump trainer through Medtronic.

Cynthia Schaefer, APRN, is no stranger to the Buffalo Trace community, as she has practiced in this region for over 6 years offering comprehensive care for the entire family. KIM KEEF, PA-C -PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT & LEAP -occupational Medicine director
Kim Keef, PA-C has over 15 years experience as a Physician Assistant. Her experience has led her to head up our LEAP-Occupational Medicine team as the Director offering a full range of services for business and industry in the region. Kim graduated from the Physician Assistant Studies Program at the University of Kentucky and has a specialty in Radiology Technology from Northern Kentucky University. She believes that an educated patient is a compliant patient. Kim is the prop master for the local theatre in Maysville and also enjoys painting, knitting and sewing.
ALICIA ADKINS, DMD -DENTISTRY
Dr. Adkins is no stranger to our region. She was born and raised in Fleming County. After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry she moved to practice dentistry in both Alaska and South Dakota. Harold Markesbery, M.D. has been with our Bracken County office since 2008. Dr. Markesbery is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and has been practicing Family Medicine since 1965. In his spare time, Dr. Markesbery enjoys gardening.
THOMAS MEYERS, M.D. -INTERNAL MEDICINE
PrimaryPlus is happy to have Thomas Meyers, M.D. as a member of our PrimaryPlus family. Meyers has been practicing medicine since 1992. He has his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati and his M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio. He has a soft-spot for the Bracken County area and enjoys spending time on his farm.
JAMES W. MORRIS, M.D. -FAMILY PRACTICE
James W. Morris, M.D., comes to PrimaryPlus with 43 years of family medicine experience. Originally from Kentucky, Dr. Morris spent the majority of his career practicing medicine in Texas and happily relocated back to Kentucky in early 2012 when he joined PrimaryPlus. Dr. Morris has a B.S. in Pre-Med from the University of Kentucky, an M.D. from the University of Louisville and a Post Graduate degree from St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, a Charter Fellow member of the American Academy of Family Practice and a member of the American Academy of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Morris believes in a personalized, caring approach to medicine utilizing the highest standard of care available to his patients. He and his wife, Cora, have been welcomed with open arms in Augusta and are very active members of the community. They have five children, four grandchildren and enjoy gardening, four-wheeling and their pets.
STEVEN NEUS, M.D. -FAMILY PRACTICE
Steven Neus, M.D. is a Family Practice physician at PrimaryPlus’ Bracken County office. Practicing for over 21 years, Dr. Neus has a devoted patient base and believes in treating his patients with kindness and compassion at all times. He also dedicates a good deal of his time to Hospice of Hope. Dr. Neus earned his B.A. in from Northern Kentucky University in 1987 and his M.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1991. He is originally from Morningview, KY but resides in California, KY with his wife Joanne. Dr. Neus enjoys boxing, outdoor sports and working in his garden.
DENISE GORE, APRN -FAMILY HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER
Denise Gore is a Nurse Practitioner at our Bracken County office and has been with PrimaryPlus since 2009. A nurse for over 30 years and an NP for 17 years, Denise is Board Certified by the ANCC and believes in a holistic approach to healthcare. She received her BSN from Morehead State University, her FNP from the University of Kentucky and her PhD from the University of Cincinnati. Denise lives in Fleming County, KY and enjoys riding her motorcycle and reading.
TONIA L. JONES, APRN, CPNP-PC –PEDIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER
PrimaryPlus-Bracken is happy to have Tonia L. Jones as part of our healthcare family serving as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Tonia believes in providing quality, dependable, family-centered healthcare and can care for children from infancy to age 21. She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned her Master of Science in Nursing (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care) from the University of Cincinnati. Tonia has loved working with children since the beginning of her career working in Labor & Delivery before joining PrimaryPlus. Tonia is a proud member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP); completed the LEND Program (Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) through the University of Cincinnati & Cincinnati Children’s Hospital; and has clinical interests in autism spectrum disorders, behavioral/mental health and developmental disabilities.
Tonia resides in Northern Kentucky but is no stranger to the Buffalo Trace region. She was born and raised in this area and still has many family ties throughout Mason and Bracken Counties. She is also a very proud mommy to twin daughters that are both students at the University of Kentucky. Tonia L. Jones is welcoming new patients and looks forward to creating a compassionate medical home for both parent and child.

PrimaryPlus was very fortunate to have Karen Short, APRN, DNP joined our Bracken County team in the summer of 2016. Karen is a graduate of Frontier Nursing University. She is from the eastern Kentucky region growing up in Greenup, KY. She is full of compassion, knowledge and a positive energy that will brighten any patients day.

Pharmacist Clarence A. Francis,RPh has 40 years of pharmacy experience and has been with PrimaryPlus since 2008. Clarence believes in making healthcare understandable to the patient. Not only educating him or her on the problem, but more importantly, on the solution. He earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky. Clarence resides in Maysville with his wife and enjoys fishing and Bible study.

Pharmacist Chad Evans has been part of the PrimaryPlus-Pharmacy since 2007. He graduated as a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Chad is a native of Lewis County and is happy to be able to serve the communities he knows so well. Most often he can be found at our PrimaryPlus-Maysville pharmacy. Lorie Evans, PharmD is the Pharmacist at our PrimaryPlus-Vanceburg pharmacy location. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. KRISTY KLEBECK, RPh -PHARMACIST
Pharmacist, Kristy Klebeck joined the PrimaryPlus team in 2011, but has been a familiar name in the community since starting her pharmacy career in 2000. Kristy is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy. In the summer of 2012, Kristy helped to open our newest on-site pharmacy at PrimaryPlus-Flemingsburg; also serving as the full-time pharmacist at this location. She resides in Maysville with her husband and their two daughters.
PENNY LILES, PHARMD -PHARMACIST
Penny S. Liles, PharmD earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 1999 from the University of Kentucky. Penny has been part of the PrimaryPlus family since 2002 and helped to start the first pharmacy location at the PrimaryPlus-Tollesboro location. Growing up in Lewis County, Penny knows and relates to her pharmacy customers. She and her husband live in Vanceburg and have 1 son.
DANIELLE EISENHAUER, PHARMD, CDE- PHARMACIST & CERTIFIED DIABETES EDUCATOR
Danielle Waymeyer, PharmD, CDE joined our pharmacy team in the fall of 2016. Instantly we knew Danielle was the perfect fit to build a stronger relationship with our patients beyond our pharmacy walls. Danielle’s overall goal is to work with patients, providers, and other pharmacists to help combat diabetes in the community much of which centers around medication therapy management. Medication therapy management is where a patient will sit down with Danielle and discuss each and every medication, herbal, or vitamin supplement that they take and evaluating the effectiveness, safety and adherence to therapies. Danielle serves as a navigator between the patient and their medical provider in order to get medication questions answered and in some cases changed to therapies that are cheaper and more effective at times. Often patients become very overwhelmed by their disease and are not sure what questions need to be asked (or think of them after they leave the office)…that is where Danielle comes in…she helps to be the voice between you and your medical provider.
BLAIR lYKINS, PHARMD- PHARMACIST
In the spring of 2016, PrimaryPlus was thrilled to welcome Blair Mays, PharmD to our pharmacy team. Blair has lived in the region her entire life and knew after graduating from college that she wanted to return home to give back to the region that she loves so much. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Blair works at our PrimaryPlus-Maysville pharmacy, but may also be seen rotating through many of our other pharmacy locations.

Lisa Garrison, RPh is a known name to this region as a life long resident of Lewis County. PrimaryPlus was thrilled to have her join the pharmacy team in Fall of 2016. Lisa shares her knowledge of medicines at the PrimaryPlus-South Shore pharmacy location. She also brings to work with her a compassionate and positive spirt that she shares with our patients daily!

Andrea joined our Pharmacy team in the Winter of 2016 mainly being headquartered at our PrimaryPlus-Vanceburg facility. Andrea is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Andrea believes in the PrimaryPlus mission of quality , advanced, affordable healthcare and has quickly became an expert on our 340B pricing which provides deep discounts on prescriptions for PrimaryPlus patients.

Frank G. Vice, RPh joined the PrimaryPlus family in 2010. He has been a practicing Pharmacist for over 30 years and is dedicated to the health of our patients. Frank is not only known for his knowledge of medicine, but also for his kind, caring heart as a practicing veterinarian in the area. Yes, Frank is also a Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine at Fleming County Animal Hospital. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, reading and farming.

Jack Cluxton joins the PrimaryPlus-Maysville pharmacy team with over 43 years of pharmacy experience. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. Jack believes in making sure the patient knows how much he cares about their health and feels that counseling patients on their prescriptions is an important part of their healthcare. He and his wife of 43 years, Kay, reside in Aberdeen, OH. They have two children and one grandson whom they love to spoil!

Deborah M. Weber, L.C.S.W. has been in healthcare since 1981. She received her B.S.W. from Morehead State University and her M.S.W. from the University of Kentucky. Deborah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Diploma in Clinical Social Work through the National Association of Social Workers. Her philosophy to healthcare is to empower the client to help him or her achieve specific treatment goals. Deborah and her husband have 1 daughter and are avid gardeners.

Kacy L. Massie, Registered Dietitian, has been with PrimaryPlus since 2009. Kacy believes that small changes can turn into huge results! Kacy’s approach is about teaching her clients how to incorporate all their favorite foods into a healthy plan. Kacy received her B.S. in Dietetics from Eastern Kentucky University and her M.S. in Community Nutrition from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a Registered Dietitian through the Commission for Dietetic Registration and licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio. In the spring of 2016, Kacy added to her resume becoming a Certified Diabetes Educator helping to better serve those living with diabetes which plagues our region. Kacy enjoys boating, camping, photography and cooking!

Stacy C. Michael, Registered Dietitian, joined PrimaryPlus in 2012 and believes in the message that “all foods fit.” She teaches her clients that knowledge and moderation are the keys to success, not crazy diets. Stacy received her B.S. in Dietetics from Eastern Kentucky University and her M.S. in Community Nutrition from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a Registered Dietitian through the Commission for Dietetic Registration and licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio. Stacy is married and enjoys spending time with her family, working with her nursing home residents and reading.
