PrimayPlus Breaks Ground for New Maysville Office

(Maysville, KY) The Lewis County Primary Care Center which is now doing business under the name PrimaryPlus celebrated the groundbreaking ceremonies of their new Maysville office on Thursday, March 22, 2007.  The event brought out a large crowd of elated PrimaryPlus physicians and staff, state and local dignitaries, board members, affiliates, friends and supporters of the project. 

“It has been two years since this idea originated and it is so exciting to be putting this dream into action for our organization,” stated Jerry Ugrin, CEO of PrimaryPlus. “So many wonderful people have had their hands in making this project come alive and we would like to express our appreciation to all of them.” 

Those who have and are currently involved with the new 35,000 square ft. facility include the USDA, Peoples Bank, Farmers Bank & Trust Company, Buffalo Trace Area Development District, Trace Creek Construction, and many others.  The new site will house OB/GYN, family health services, and a 340 B pharmacy program offering reduced pharmaceutical cost to patients of the organization.  There is also discussion of additional services and collaborative to occupy the space that hopes to be completed at the beginning of 2008.  The facility will include OB/GYN medical providers Dr. Donald Wilson, Dr. Laura Shower, Dr. David Doty, Dr. Stephen Meese, Dr. Susan Hagan, Dr. Ken Payne, and nurse practitioner Melissa Redmond, plus family practice physicians Dr. Nathan Elliott, Dr. Viviana Goldenberg, and Dr. Jessica Bocook.

The Lewis County Primary Care Center is a non-profit medical organization that prides itself on offering the most advanced health care services at affordable pricing.  Recently the organization simplified its name to PrimaryPlus to help brand its multiple sites in Vanceburg, Tollesboro, Flemingsburg, and Maysville.  PrimaryPlus-Women’s Center is also receiving a facelift, construction for the new building which will be located on the Vanceburg campus is set to be completed by July.  Temporarily Gwen Webb, OGNP and staff of the Women’s Center are providing services within the Family Health Center (Building A) in Vanceburg.
