Eleanor Johnson Women’s Center Getting a Facelift

(Vanceburg, KY)  The Eleanor Johnson Women’s Center has been serving the women of Lewis and surrounding counties for the last 5 years from the comforts of Building C on the Lewis County Primary Care Center (LCPCC) campus.  As a proud entity of LCPCC, it is their pleasure to announce that plans are in the works to build a new facility at their LCPCC site located at the intersection of Route 59 and the AA Highway.  Due to the construction process the Women’s Center will temporarily be relocating to the Lewis County Family Health Center (building A of the LCPCC campus).

Plans for the new building are currently in development.  The building will include women’s health services, marketing, health education, and the technology department.  The well designed plan will maximize the space making it possible for future collaborations and growth.

“The construction of a new Women’s Center shows the progress our organization has made over the last several years.  Growth helps us to better serve our patients by extending our affordable services, creating new collaborations, and incorporating the most advanced medical technologies,” states Jerry Ugrin, CEO of LCPCC.

Nurse Practitioner, Gwen Webb, who has worked for LCPCC for over 18 years, will continue to provide the same range of services in their temporary location.  Services provided by the EJWC include prenatal care, pap smears, clinical breast exams, dietary counseling, routine women’s health exams, teen pregnancy, and much more.  Several collaborations were also offered within this facility including endocrinology with Dr. Yancey Holmes, mental health care with Dr. Ralph Green, and optometry services by Dr. Bryan Prater.  These collaborations will be relocated for the time being as well, contact LCPCC for relocation information.  For an appointment at the Women’s Center or any other LCPCC location you can call 606-796-3660 or 606-796-3029.
